COVID Procedures-Optional Unless State Mandated

The following are the safety protocols Le Danse
has put into place:

• All students and staff will have their temperature taken upon entering the studio.  If they have a temp of greater than 100.4, they must go home.  Any students and staff who are experiencing any signs of illness should stay home.  
• Parents will be asked to complete a questionnaire regarding Covid symptoms, etc.
• The studio will have contactless payments available.
• All students and staff are required to wear face masks while in the studio, hallway and restrooms.  Breaks will be given throughout the duration of the class as necessary to ensure comfort of the students.
• The waiting room and dressing rooms will not be used by students or staff members.
• Parents must drop off their child at their appropriate time.  All parents must wait in front of building or downstairs at the entry door to drop off and pick up their children. We are not allowing parents into the studio lobby or wait during class for their child.  Parents of children age 5 and under may walk upstairs to drop off and pick up their child.   No visitors other than students and staff of Le Danse are allowed into the studio.  Parents please do not arrive early or late as we will be strictly enforcing times.  
• Students are only allowed to have disposable water bottles while in the studio.

 

Classroom Restrictions

• Students are requested to use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the dancerooms.  The studio will have several areas where hand sanitizer will be available.
• In order to maintain proper distancing, class sizes will be reduced.  We are taping off areas in dancerooms that individual dancers need to stay in, with at least 6 feet of distance between each area. It looks like we can have 10 dancers plus a teacher in each danceroom. 
• To reduce risk of transmission, floor work is discouraged (particularly anything that travels) and we will be mindful of avoiding strenuous cardio work.  More frequent breaks will be taken to keep heavy breathing to a minimum.
• Across the floor travel is allowed, but dancers must maintain at least 6 feet distance while waiting for the dancer in front of them to fully cross the floor before starting.
• Floor work with use of a yoga mat or towel is allowed. Dancers are STRONGLY encouraged to bring their own.
• Use of the dressing room is not permitted.  Dancers are encouraged to come to class already dressed. Shoes must stay in dancebags, but dancers will take their bags/water bottles into the studio and keep them in an assigned spot near their dance space.  The teacher will assign them a specific space.
• There will be no hands on corrections at this time. Teachers will also have their own designated area to work in.
• Shoes must be taken off when visiting restroom, therefore students should bring a pair of socks or slippers with them and come already dressed to class.

 

Disinfecting Procedures

• The studio will also be cleaned and disinfected in between classes 
• All surfaces frequently touched will be disinfected regularly between classes such as light switches, door knobs and barres (if used) will be disinfected immediately after use. 
• Floors will be mopped with disinfecting cleaner between each class.
• Additional time may be added between classes to facilitate these procedures; therefore the need for the 15 minute alternate schedules as stated above. 
• Doors & windows will remain open during classes to encourage more fresh air flow.
